Phân tích thực trạng công tác phát triển kiến thức thông tin (KTTT) cho sinh viên đại học trên cơ sở kết quả khảo sát nhận thức của các bên liên quan về tầm quan trọng của KTTT với sinh viên đại học; hoạt động giáo dục KTTT cho sinh viên của các thư viện đại học và vấn để xây dựng mục tiêu học tập, áp dụng phương pháp giảng dạy, phương pháp kiểm tra đánh giá sinh viên của giảng viên. Đánh giá trình độ KTTT của sinh viên trên các khía cạnh: khả năng nhận dạng nhu cầu tin; khả năng tìm kiếm thông tin; khả năng đánh giá thông tin; khả năng khai thác thông tin; những hiểu biết về đạo đức và pháp lý có liên quan đến việc truy cập, sử dụng, và chia sẻ thông tin.
